sanctuary art center murals,

We painted a series of whimsical landscapes with the help of youth experiencing homelessness and the support of Sanctuary Art Center.

This mural was created to liven up the walls at a home designated to rescue young girls at risk for human-trafficking in Mumbai. Each resident filled in one star with any images, colors and symbols that she felt represented her.

This mural was commissioned by a state-run home for the elderly in Bocas Del Toro.



sidewall paintings,
Guatemala





This project was a collaboration with The Long Way Home, a non-profit building schools using recycled materials in San Juan Comalapa. The main walls were built using tires, but the sidewalls were left over and they asked me to design a project with them. We transformed the sidewalls into art with a group of elementary school students.

This mural was painted with a group of volunteers with help from some of the youth of Dharavi in Mumbai.



Dumpster murals,
ghana





Don't worry, these kids are celebrating in and on top of a new, unused dumpster that they'd just finished painting! The local Besut government donated this dumpster for the youth to paint with messages to their community about protecting the environment.



trash monsters,

In collaboration with other Fulbright English Teaching Assistants, I organized "Trash Monsters," in which youth transformed garbage they collected into art pieces.

This mural was designed and painted by some of the kids staying at Mary's Place, a network of shelters empowering homeless kids and families in Seattle.

With the help and guidance of the late Professor Smiles, these students and I painted this mural on an exterior wall of their school. The young artists created designs based on what they envisioned for their futures.

I designed and painted this mural for the kids with serious illnesses who stay in Popsicle Place. Popsicle Place is an initiative of Mary's Place, which empowers kids and families experiencing homelessness in Seattle.

This mural was created in collaboration with the University Child Development School's "Kindness Camp." We designed and painted it for the University Food Bank.

This mural was one of a series commissioned by the Baan Unrak Children's home for Burmese refugees in Sangkhlaburi, Thailand.
